Professions such as child care, preschool, elementary education, psychology, and social work require basic skills learned in this program: fundamentals of child development, planning and teaching activities, and more. All students receive hands-on experience by assisting with children in area preschools, child care centers, and elementary schools.  Seniors have the opportunity to build their resume by interning daily at local child care centers and elementary schools.

The semester elective, Child Development (HE214), is recommended for any freshmen or sophomores considering this course.
